Bitcoin and Ether lose traction

Earlier today both BTC and Ether were making progress. Bitcoin rose to just above 47k once again and Ether lifted to a session high of 3,847. However, those gains did not last long and both have fallen back steeply over the past couple of hours. Ether has actually just dropped to match the earlier Asian low that was set at 3,768. So far that level has held and could yet provide an interim double bottom base. That remains to be seen as the price rebound is far from conclusive at this stage. It is a similar story for BTC too, but in relative terms it has fared better over the past two hours and still has some way to go before it might threaten its earlier Asian low at 45,727.
