Bitcoin back above 44k today

Bitcoin is making progress today. The price of the leading cryptocurrency has now lifted above 44k having reclaimed the 43k handle yesterday. The more benign risk backdrop and gains in the equity space have certainly helped it too. The move back above $3000 in Ether has also been a key component in supporting BTC further since this time yesterday morning. Earlier today BTC rose to around 44,300 but it did drop back from there to below 44k again. However, it is trying to rebound again right now as the European equity markets prepare to reopen for live trade. The next hurdle for Bitcoin is the 45k level and it remains to be seen just now much, if any resistance that price point will hold. Bitcoin is currently trading at 44,250
