Bitcoin hits new session lows

The leading cryptocurrencies have been falling back further in recent trade. Following an update here not long ago on the progress of Ether; that has now fallen back below $3,100 and has set a new session low as it trades to as low as 3,068. The prospect of that happening was certainly highlighted here in that previous update where the direction of travel was noted as being more on the south side than the north. The move lower in Ether has been accompanied by a corresponding drop to fresh session lows for Bitcoin too. The price just fell back to as low as 44,300, but it may not be done with the downside yet. As also noted much earlier this morning, the lead cryptocurrency had clearly stalled ahead of the important 50% retracement level which was in place at 46,847. Bitcoin is just now trading at 44,475
