Bitcoin has just lifted in recent trade. The lead cryptocurrency has risen above 19,700 for the first time this week and certainly cleared all the recent highs around 19,550. The move higher today takes Bitcoin one step closer to testing the highs it reached previously when it stalled just short of rising above 20k for the first time ever. The move higher today has so far reached a high of 19,750. It is backing away from that right now, but the rise above 19,600 does open a path for further upside if the current run can be sustained. Most recently that has not been the case, remembering that 20k is a huge psychological level and one that might have sell orders in place too. That remains to be seen of course.
