Bitcoin makes further progress today

As expected and noted here yesterday morning, Bitcoin has eventually made further progress during the Asian session today. The lead cryptocurrency has lifted to as high as 51,896 so far. The move higher has come as it just probes above some trend line resistance in place at around 51,780. The positive chart configuration that was identified here yesterday has continued to support BTC and the next level of resistance, if this move is extended, is now the September 7 high at 52,921. Of course it remains to be seen if that high can be reached, but so far today the momentum has remained positive. Beyond that upper level is the final resistance level that stands in the way of a return to the record high (64,869). That is the 76.4% retracement of the move from that record high, to the June 22 low at 28,824. Its in place at 56,363. Bitcoin is currently trading at 51,400
