Bitcoin is making further advances this afternoon. The price has just lifted to set a fresh session high at 18,875. That is now more than $2500 above the low point reached on Thanksgiving day, when the price dropped to 16,226. The move higher today takes the price one step closer to recapturing the highs seen on November 25 when the price rose to set a new 2020 high at 19,504. The move higher this afternoon also takes Bitcoin beyond the final technical retracement target at 18,731. That level represented a 76.4% retracement of the move down from 19,504, to the low at 16,226. Bitcoin is currently trading at fresh highs, now at 18,779
