Yesterday it was noted here that Bitcoin was breaking higher, rising above 17,000 for the first time this year. Well, despite some caveats mentioned there regarding it being potentially overbought, that has made no difference yet because it has charged considerably higher above 17k. It was noted here that in the short term it could disregard the technical situation anyway, and that may not stop it from rising further. Well, that is exactly what has happened. Bitcoin jumped again earlier this morning, breaking above 18,000, to as high as 18,479. It has backed away from there over the past hour, and right now it is trading back under 18,000. However, the steepness of the move so far this week has helped to elevate the level of volatility in the price action. That is well demonstrated by the fact that the price very quickly shed around $1000 after setting that new 2020 high at 18,479. It looks like it is going to be a another lively session for Bitcoin today. It is just now rebounding again currently  trading at 17,825
