Bitcoin slumps more than $2000 in rapid sell off

Bitcoin has just slumped more than $2000 in recent trade. A short while ago the lead cryptocurrency was nudging higher for another look at 60k. That looked a very likely prospect as reported on here earlier today. However, the price has just now dropped sharply. There is no discernible news here to attach to the move, but as soon as it becomes apparent then a further update will follow. The move below 58,500 was the first sign of distress and that breakdown has delivered an even shaper move to below 57k not long ago. It is just now trying to rebound, but it remains to be seen if it can manage that with any conviction. All the while it remains below 58,500 then that will remain in doubt. Bitcoin is just now trading at 57,650
