Bitcoin takes a further hit

Following on from an earlier update here; Bitcoin is facing further selling pressure again as the unwind from the weekend record highs continues. The lead cryptocurrency has just now fallen below 57k and there is potential for a really quite dramatic turnaround if the price drop continues to below 55k from here. Obviously that level is still some way off even now, but it is important not to forget that a $2k move in Bitcoin is not very much these days in real terms. There is no immediate fresh news to pin this further drop too, but if that becomes apparent then it will be relayed here. Meantime, Bitcoin has in fact now dropped below 56k and the move lower is gathering pace
