Ether spikes back above $3,000

Well, it could not manage it yesterday, but it has today and that is a recovery back above $3000 for Ethereum (ETHUSD). The second largest cryptocurrency has lifted from an earlier session low at $2,914, to as high as $3,039 reached just a few moments ago. The move higher has been helped by gains above 43k in BTC. The gains in Ether today have taken it closer to a test of its 50 day moving average. That is in place right now at 3,077 and it remains to be seen if this level will be tested at some point today. As per yesterday the rise is still subject to the more general risk dynamic, but right now the rebound does look like it might have some more short term upside provided it does not slip back below 3k once more. ETHUSD is currently trading at $3,035
