Following on from earlier updates here on the progress of the cryptocurrency market, the losses have deepened significantly now today. Bitcoin slumped below 17,000 and that has been accompanied by some even heavier losses elsewhere. Earlier on it was noted here that Ethereum was under increasing pressure and now that has seen the price slump more than 15%. A short while ago it fell through $500 and rapidly dropped to around $483. The exact pricing is hard to gauge owing the speed of the moves and the spreads widening at many pricing venues Etheruem is trying to rebound a little now, but it has been badly shaken by the voracity of the moves that have unfolded so far today
