The move of the day so far in the Crypto sphere has been the rise of Ether. That has shot above 2,500 today and in the process surpassed the previous record high it set on April 16. That was at 2,548. The rise above this level in recent trade has helped to lift Bitcoin too, but once again the lead cryptocurrency is trailing in the wake of its number two counterpart. Ether has risen to as high as 2594 a short while ago. It is just now backing away from the new record, but of course it may not be done with yet. The fact that is has now reversed the more than $500 drop in suffered last weekend does open the path for a greater extension. ETHUSD is just now trading at 2578 but the price action is rapid and fluid and potentially very illiquid
