Ethereum (ETHUSD) slips back from new record

A few moments ago Ethereum (ETHUSD) continued its dynamic rise as the second largest cryptocurrency rose to reach a new all time record high at 2,799. The move came even as other leading coins continued to lag behind. Most notably that was Bitcoin that made no serious move back above 55k. in fact, Bitcoin has now turned lower after failing to get above 54,800. Right now a drop back below 54k looks more likely that not. It could be that failure that has helped to exhaust the move in Ethereum. That has now drifted back to around 2,775 and may just have blown itself out for the day. If that happens then it would be no surprise given how much this has risen in recent days.
