Ethereum record rise today homes in on $2500

Bitcoin may have slipped back from its record highs since yesterday and so has XRP, but Ether has not only held its gains, it has made further progress reaching a new record right now as it homes in on that 2500 level repeatedly mentioned here. The second largest coin is now very close to reaching this first milestone. That was always likely though as judged from the relative price action seen yesterday, when Ether refused to follow Bitcoin lower in the afternoon session. The move higher today is further stretching the technically overbought position though and at some stage there will be a relapse. The question now; is whether that will come from around the 2500 level, or there is more in the tank to take the price onto the next noted potential resting point, at around 2800. The range seen so far today has been covered by 2368 to 2477. The exact new record high set so far has been at 2477.70. It is currently trading close to that at around 2473
