A new all time high for Ether today

Yesterday it was Ethereum (ETHUSD) that grabbed the yellow jersey amongst the leading cryptocurrencies. The price rose to above $4500 for the first time in its relatively short life. There is no doubt that the move to set a fresh record was helped by a corresponding move higher in BTC, as that rebounded above 63k and then pushed above 64k. However, there was also little doubt that Ether was leading that move. The rebound continued into the wider US market close and was then extended upon even more at the start of the Asian session today. Ether rose to as high as 4,642 earlier on. It has backed off a little now, but overall the elevation is still clear and the trend higher very much intact. The range seen so far today has been covered by 4,488 to that new record at 4,642. It is currently trading at 4,570
