Bitcoin back above 52k towards new record helped by dollar retreat

Earlier today, Bitcoin was struggling to hold ground above 52k. In fact, it fell back to as low as 50,750 at the start of the Asian session. However, as the EUR/USD has risen it has seemingly helped to lift the lead cryptocurrency too. That is not to say the previous correlation between the two is in anyway back in full swing, but it might have had an impact today. So, Bitcoin has just now risen to as high as 52,450 which is not far off its all time record reached earlier this week at 52,614. Right now it seems there is every chance that it will soon post another record high this morning. Bitcoin is currently trading at 52,425
