Ethereum (ETHUSD) reaches a new record high
Yesterday was a day of steady further progress for the second biggest cryptocurrency. Ethereum (ETHUSD) extended its gains above $1900, rising to as high as 1949.96 right on the wider US market close. That was of course a new record for the coin. It then dipped lower at the start of the Asian session today, dropping back to as low as 1915, before another rebound set in. However, and despite almost exactly matching the high seen last night, it has fallen back again. The high set earlier was at 1949.72. Consequently, we have a very clear interim double top in place above 1949 now. The subsequent second sell off took the price to as low as 1891 later in the Asian session. It has now rebounded again, but the topside is still being guarded by the interim double top. That might remain the case, or it could mean that once again such a level merely becomes a target, which if surpassed delivers another extension. That has certainly been a patter for Ether in recent days and weeks. It remains to be sees if that will be the case again today. ETHUSD is currently trading at 1922.50
