Bitcoin charges to another new record today

The Elon Musk derived surge in Bitcoin yesterday, saw the price shoot back above 40k, to above 44k as the US automotive giant proudly announced that it was underpinning the price with an investment of $1.5 billion. That news was reported on here and since then the price has risen further, reaching a new record this morning, Bitcoin has just lifted to 48,000, but it could be even higher by the time the ink is dry here. The surging price has taken the lead cryptocurrency ever closer to 50k and increasingly that looks like the nearest point where it might stop in the short term. It also looks like Tesla shouting their love for the coin is already paying significant dividends, making Musk hundreds of millions of dollars in the space of less than 24 Hours. Onwards and upwards it seems, and only the very brave are likely to risk standing in the way of the current move. That is unless Musk decides to take some profits of course!
