Bitcoin hits session low underneath 49k

In the past few minutes the price of Bitcoin has now dropped to session lows underneath 49k. It failed in an earlier attempt to reclaim levels above 50k and now it threatens to drop below the low point seen yesterday, at around 48,725. The current chart configuration does argue for more immediate downside should that previous interim low give way. Increasingly, that looks like a live potential move that could unfold. Looking across at the US equity futures right now, it appears that both BTC and Ether are once again tracking those to the downside just now. Of course that dynamic might change but the immediate risks for BTC do look skewed to the downside. Having said that, it has just rebounded slightly and is currently trading at 49,120
