Bitcoin so far rejects move below 10,600 but rebound not yet conclusive

30 Sep, 2020

Yesterday it was noted here that Bitcoin could suffer a drop towards 10,250 if a support level at around 10,600 gave way. Well, despite looking likely yesterday evening that did not happen and the price rebounded to back above 10,800. The high reached was set at 10,864. Since then the price has drifted back down again, dipping below 10,700 a few moments ago. So, it still avoiding a drop below 10,600, but not exactly making a convincing rebound either. The potential for a move lower is still in place and much will depend on what the wider markets deliver again today. The current risk tone is not positive and certainly not likely to help Bitcoin higher in the short term either. It is probably too early in the session to make a cast iron judgement on that anyway. Consequently, more sideways price action inside 10,600 to 11,100 until a break one way or the other occurs, which it will do eventually. Bitcoin is just now trading at 10,720
