Bitcoin steady at lower level

Last night the gains seen earlier in Bitcoin did rather unravel as the lead cryptocurrency slid back from an earlier high at 45,489, to as low as 42,708 just after the European close. It did then spike higher once more into the wider US close, but that move stalled just short of 44,500. The price fell back again at the start of the Asian session today, but it has steadied again since. The range seen so far has been set at 43,173 to 44,356. It is towards the lower end of that right now, but still above its 50 day moving average that it lifted above recently. That is in place right now at 42,675 and surely explains why the drop last night stopped where it did, at just ahead of that level. Bitcoin is currently trading at 43,690
