Ether finds support ahead of $3000

As with Bitcoin yesterday, the price of Ethereum (ETHUSD) fell back from an earlier session high at $3,233, to as low as $3,028. A subsequent rebound earlier today saw it recover to as high as 3,139, but is has dipped backwards again since. The range so far today has been covered by 3,057 to 3,139. The price appears to be steadying ahead of $3000 and that looks like a level it is not going to give up easily. However, and unlike BTC it has not managed to make a clean break above its 50 day moving average, despite rising briefly above it yesterday. That is in place right now at 3,208. ETHUSD is currently trading at 3,090
