Bitcoin suffers sharp fall after test of 41k in weekend trading
On Friday Bitcoin eventually made some solid progress, helped higher by the charge above $1700 in Ethereum. Bitcoin may have also gotten a boost from the rebound back above 1.20 in the EUR/USD that came following the latest US jobs report. Notwithstanding that, it was not able to sustain a rebound back above 38k ahead of the wider US weekly close. However, it did exactly that on Saturday. Bitcoin rose steadily on Saturday morning, lifting above 40k, to as high as 40,990. Once again though, it was a totally different story on Sunday, as the price eventually fell back to a low as 37,408 later in the afternoon. It has rebounded again this evening, but unless it can recapture levels well above 40k, and preferably 41k, the risk of another even deeper relapse is not to be dismissed. Bitcoin is currently trading at 38,150 on Sunday evening
