Ethereum reclaims levels above 1,720

Despite looking a little unlikely both BTC and Ether managed to stage a rebound on Friday evening and that rebound extended into the weekend as BTC lifted back above 26k and Ether rose above a noted earlier technical breakdown level, at $1,720. The move higher extended to around 1,757 very early on Saturday morning, but that has been the extent of it since then. However, despite a slight dip back below 1,720 earlier today, around the start of the main Asian session, it has held above 1720 since before the weekend. The range seen so far today has been covered by 1,713 to 1,727. ETHUSD is currently trading at around 1,724
