Bitcoin suffers a broken heart today

Yesterday the rise in Bitcoin took the lead cryptocurrency to as high as 39,484. At that point it looked like a return visit to 40k was very possible. Well, in the event that did not happen and neither did an earlier attempt to reclaim that level either. The price topped out earlier today at 39,273. Since then it has been a one way move lower for Bitcoin so far today. The price has dropped back below 37k once more. The failure to reclaim 40k has a part to play in this move, but then again so does the more than $200 drop in Ether today too. In percentage terms, both coins are pretty much matching strides in losses on the session so far. The likelihood is that the rather childish social media tweet of a broken heart for Bitcoin on Twitter by Elon Musk appears to indicate that it is Bitcoin that has led this move lower.
